In 2023, our Oral History Project partnered with the Oakland Asian Cultural Center (OACC) to showcase the enduring legacies of six Chinatown businesses. These establishments, deeply rooted in the community for decades, stand as living testaments to the resilience, strength, and vitality of Oakland Chinatown.

During the same year, the Oral History Project collaborated with ABC 7 to co-produce this news feature documenting the elder stories of growing up in Oakland Chinatown family run businesses.
